Typical personal information we collect from you are: name, address, phone number, email address, product enquiries and consent to receive newsletters and marketing information including specials, promotions and events.

We use your personal information to create an online member’s account for you, to record and process your purchase, to add to our database so we send you newsletters and marketing information including specials, promotions and events via email or post, and to respond to your queries. Matisse does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We will only release account and other personal information if we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Matisse, our users, or others.

Emailing Tools

Matisse may communicate with you by email and may send you Newletters and other marketing information using Mailchimp. In addition to this Privacy Policy, you should refer to Privacy Policy of Mailchimp.

Control of Your Online Credentials

If you have registered online, you are responsible for all actions taken with your username, email address and password. If you choose to share your username, email address and password or your information with third parties, you are responsible for all actions taken with this information and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy.

Credit Card Security

We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information. All transactions are processed through third party secure payment service providers and processing fees will apply. Your credit card details are not held by Matisse. Online sales (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) are processed by Shopify Commerce Singapore Pte Ltd. In store sales are processed by Windcave Ltd (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Union Pay) and PayPlus Ltd (AliPay, WeChat Pay). You acknowledge and agree that the information transmitted to or stored by Shopify, Windcave and PayPlus, are governed by their respective  privacy policies:

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use our website. We use cookies to improve the user experience. Cookies are widely used on most major websites. Matisse mostly uses "session" cookies, which are removed from your computer after you leave Matisse. A second cookie is placed on your computer (if you choose) for Matisse to remember you, this cookie is intended to remain until deleted. These are used so our website can remember that you have logged in already and prevent you doing so more frequently.

Providing Information

You agree that Matisse may provide any personal information it collects about you to its related companies (as defined in section 2(3) of the Companies Act 1993), debt collection and credit reference agencies and any other parties it deems necessary in relation to providing you access to this website, for any services you acquire or goods you purchase from Matisse, to recover any money you owe to Matisse and to exercise any lawful right Matisse, its related companies or debt collection and credit reference agencies may have. You also authorise any person to provide Matisse with such information as Matisse may require in response to credit enquiries.

Other Information We Collect

We collect and use additional information to carry out internal research on our users; demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our website or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails, letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the website, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.

Membership Removal

If you wish to cancel and have your online member account removed from our directory for any reason, simply send us an email requesting to be removed.

Severability

If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held to be invalid, void, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, such provision shall be deemed to be severed from this Privacy Policy and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

Access and Removal of Information
 

You have the right to access, change and delete personal information that Matisse holds about you. You can exercise this right at any time by emailing us. From time to time, we make changes to our information practices or alter the functionality of our website.
