Founded in London in 2011 by Andrea Mancuso and Emilia Serra, Analogia Project first exhibited at the invitation of Will Alsop during London Design Week that year.

The exhibition, an exploration of domestic interiors that took the form of a three-dimensional sketch of a living room rendered in wool, went on to be shown internationally in various iterations in Milan, Dubai and Tokyo. As the studio grew and developed this blend of the fantastical and the every day has remained a fil rouge, recently evidenced in projects like Metamorphosis for Perrier-Jouët launched at Design Miami 2019, an immersive scenography composed of 11,000 mounted ceramic pieces inspired by the gradient of colors that envelops the historic winery’s vineyards during harvest time. Within each object, there is the presence of a personal history, an element that recalls the personal experience of everyday life.

Originally formed as a creative duo, from 2017 Andrea Mancuso remains the studio’s principal designer while Emilia Serra, a graduate of Royal College of Art with a research MPhil, has expanded her practice and research into experimental, academic and advising collaborations on cultural projects.

Since relocating to Milan in 2012, Analogia Project has become deeply embedded within the city's contemporary design scene, working with galleries such as Nilufar, brands like Hermes, Fendi, Bulgari, Driade, Lema, Le Bon Marché and Slamp and publishing internationally in magazines such as Wallpaper*, AD, Elle Decor, Living, Frame and Damn.

Since 2017 they have taught the Master of Interior Design course at NABA Academy in Milan.
