Milan Design Week 2023 was a plethora of impressive displays. Italian kitchens and residential design brand Arclinea did not disappoint. Unveiling three chapters of design: Arclinea Home products, the Drawing Better Connections manifesto, and new design collections, the brands range of high-quality luxury displays were seeped in natural materials and tones.

Arclinea’s newly renovated space located at the company’s flagship in Via Durini 7 included updated releases of Lignum Et Lapis, Convivium and Italia. Most prominent in the showroom, the Lignum et Lapis Island, shined with a polished Ecotone worktop in New Era Nirvana color. Arclinea’s dedication to functionality and evolution involved a deep investigation into sustainable practices. Ecotone™, a newly developed material, is made of bio-based resin, low crystalline silica and recycled glass. G_cover, another sustainable finish, is featured in the Lignum et Lapis setting finishing the Stave doors. The island also displays integrated handles, external wood panels in g_cover, a matt lacquered structure, and inner worktops finished in New Era Atlantis Ecotone™.

Arclinea’s production of environmentally minimal-impact items creates a positive impact on people. Ecotone™ is a substitute for marble, Ecotone™ is an engineered stone that delivers the looks and feel of natural stone. Ecotone is also a protective performer for surface light and signs of ageing. G_Cover is a wood coating developed from upgraded-recycled graphite powder.
Material innovation is one of Arclinea’s strongest qualities. Actions taken to preserve and regenerate the surrounding environment inspires stronger connections to food, family, and nature.

Convivium sits in the center of Via Durini 7, enticing viewers in to a warm and elegant display. The island features a stunning waterfall worktop alongside a complementary Era snack bar finished in natural oak. Carrying a natural wood finish, the operative wall features the new Convivium professional door. The living/snack bar also contains exciting new features included two pocket systems, one as a studio and one as a dresser. The versatility of Arclinea makes for a flawless systems to suit any space. Tall glass units tower from floor to ceiling sturdy in black varnished aluminum frames. The inside of these are also natural oak.

Italia is a showstopper in the window. The new look is a welcoming layout with a serene waterfall countertop and Canto snack bar. G_cover finishing also decorates the Italia setting, as well as vintage stainless steel finishing on the sides of the island. Bold wood paneling of the Modus system doors introduce warm greys.

A manifesto on ethical design approaches, Drawing Better Connections arranged for an interactive culinary experience to showcase connection to the natural world through ingredients. Five private dinners in collaboration with Giovanni Marabese of Milano Food Project were orchestrated to welcome difference and encourage exploration. It is Arclinea’s belief that what we eat is essential to sustaining life on this planet for many years to come. A unique menu has been presented by multiple highly-regarded chefs around the globe.
