An icon of Northern Italian furniture design, B&B Italia unveiled their impressively innovative 2023 Collection for Milan Design Week in their immaculate flagship store on Via Durini.
Bursting with creativity and colors, this year’s range displays a future-forward take on visuals indicative of optical illusions, primary colors, and essential graphics. Plush, comfortable and sculptural, B&B Italia’s newest items include the Tortello sofa and armchair, Dambo modular system, Lemante tables, and many more.
Piero Lissoni, B&B Italia’s Artistic Director
“We wanted to respect the creative DNA of B&B Italia and its multiple languages, a tribute to the ability to keep paradoxes under control. B&B Italia is recognized for its great classics but at the same time has always been able to surprise. This year we wanted to be as surprising as possible.”
The showroom is a work of art, brimming with geometric strokes and strong colors. An exciting assortment of polka-dot accents thrill the crowds. Sensorial mirrored volumes and puzzling elements create an unexpected show.
Celebrating a 10-year collaboration with the brand, London designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby contributed their latest design: the Tortello seating system. Plump and soft, Tortello is enveloped spirited comfort, a soft contrast to their previous structural-based Tobi-Ishi collaboration. Tortello floats in space, versatile enough to suit any space.
Mr. Osgerby
"B&B sofas are traditionally quite formal and rectilinear. We thought it’d be fun to do something more organic in shape.”
