  • Clemens Weisshaar (born 1977) is a German designer known for his innovative approach to industrial design, combining cutting-edge technology, engineering, and digital fabrication. 

    He studied at Central Saint Martins in London and the Royal College of Art, where he developed a strong foundation in experimental and computational design.

    In 2002, he co-founded Kram/Weisshaar with Swedish designer Reed Kram, creating a multidisciplinary studio that merges traditional craftsmanship with advanced digital tools. Their work spans furniture, industrial products, interactive installations, and architectural projects, often pushing the boundaries of materials and production techniques.

    Weisshaar’s projects include R18 Ultra Chair (developed with Audi using aerospace technology), Outrace (an interactive robotic installation for the London Design Festival), and Breeding Tables (a generative furniture series using algorithmic design). His work has been exhibited at institutions such as MoMA, Vitra Design Museum, and Centre Pompidou.

    Weisshaar’s designs reflect a deep engagement with technological innovation, automation, and mass customization, making him a key figure in contemporary digital design.
