Hypostila is a modular shelving system designed by Spanish architects Lluís Clotet and Oscar Tusquets in 1979. Developed with civil engineer Jesús Jiménez, the extruded aluminium structure supports maximum weight with a minimal profile. Its design allows for infinite configurations: horizontal elements can be fixed at any height, while vertical elements can be added to suit different spaces and functions. Hypostila won both the Golden and Opinion Delta Award in 1980, and remains a modern solution for homes and offices today.
