Joel’s work is characterized by thorough and elegant processes, sometimes creative, other times productive and on occasion, a bit introspective. In his work, it is possible to find glimpses of his charismatic and ironic personality, resorting to elements such as lyric, humor and poetry as attributes that are in constant connection throughout his body of work.

In addition to running his own design studio, as of 2011, Joel manages NONO, a Mexican design brand dedicated to the production of interior design and custom-made furniture pieces.

In the same way, he was creative director at BREUER and Taller Maya, designing a wide range of products and establishing creative pillars for each one of the different businesses. His talent has led him to collaborate with renowned brands, such as Design Within Reach, Roche Bobois, Opinion Ciatti, BD Barcelona, Tane, Pirwi, Nouvel, among others.

With a genuine interest in turning creativity into a professional career, Joel is a professor at CENTRO and at ITESM in Mexico City, sharing his day-to-day professional knowledge with his students in the classroom.
