Pochette is a generously shaped armchair that is as unusual as it is inviting. Designed by Piero Lissoni, it takes its name from a small, high-quality object, a soft and graceful bag, to be touched and held close to the body on the most important occasions. Such a fusion of care and lightness is found in the equilibrium of Pochette, where steel and leather combine to give form and substance to a seat that offers relaxation without neglecting style. A painted steel tube, left exposed in the back, defines the shape and creates support, amid straight lines and sinuous curves that wrap around the upholstery. The tubular frame features leather upholstery made with a technique inspired by that used for luxury car steering wheels. It is a slow and careful technique, capable of hiding the seams and revealing sophisticated piping that serves as a refined decorative pattern. Expertise in leather workmanship is found in every detail of Pochette, including the two back cushions, elements that have no fixed position but—like a handkerchief placed with studied nonchalance in a jacket pocket—can be arranged as desired to accommodate your preferred posture. While the tubular frame is upholstered in leather, the cushions can be in leather or fabric, with the aim of creating an understated ensemble in each case. A synthesis of class and savoir-faire, Pochette is presented as a versatile armchair that is ideal for reading, but also for conversation, in the living room or sleeping area, for private spaces and public settings.

Planck is a family of three small round tables designed by Piero Lissoni, united by shape and materials, but unique in character and personality. The structure gently widens as it descends from the top to the base, creating an elegant truncated cone shape. They have semi-transparent glass tops and lacquered bases that can be chosen from a number of satin or gloss colors, or with a sophisticated rosewood effect finish. For each of the Planck coffee tables we notice a precise play of proportions; as the diameter widens the height decreases, creating a dynamic panorama. Thus, one can choose a large low coffee table with a diameter of 120 cm, a medium version with a diameter of 80 cm, or a small 50 cm service table. The latter holds a surprise as it is a version with a backlit top. A dedicated app will make it possible to adjust the intensity and warmth of the LED light, transforming it into an element capable of creating a pleasant atmosphere in the most diverse environments.

Mjna is a chair that combines the practicality of a functional product with the elegance of materials such as steel and thick leather. The steel frame is visible in the back legs, while the rest of the chair is completely covered in fine thick leather. This design choice gives Mjna a distinctive visual uniformity, a chromatic harmony that communicates with the delicate curves of the frame. Mjna’s versatility is also expressed in the fact that it is stackable, an uncommon feature for such a sophisticated chair. Indeed, Lissoni designed the structure so that it can be easily and conveniently stored after use, giving a new option to private clients as well as the commercial contract world. Finishes include smooth thick leather in ivory, natural, black, dark brown and dove grey, or grained thick leather in natural, black, dark brown, bordeaux, bottle green and mud green.

Designed by Foster+Partners, Industrial Design Studio, Cordoba is an armchair that combines design, precision and environmental responsibility. Roomy and welcoming, the oak wood frame recalls Nordic precision and an oriental spirit, through an almost primordial combination that reveals accoutrements of absolute quality. In the legs, armrests and seat elements, the section changes according to function, reducing to a minimum that accommodates technical requirements, provides comfort and ensures an aesthetic devoted to lightness. The back and seat are made of thick leather, either smooth or grained, which can be easily removed to allow for convenient maintenance and to be able to separate all materials when needed. This choice represents the desire to move in the direction of increasingly responsible design. The wood frame is available in light or black oak wood, or in cranberry red or seaweed green stained ash. Smooth, thick leather can come in ivory, natural, black, dark brown, and dove grey; grained leather can be chosen from the natural, black, dark brown, bordeaux, bottle green, or mud green.

In its ten years of life, the Tobi-Ishi table has become a true icon of international design. In all its variations, it retains the strongly sculptural feel defined by the three elements that compose it, inspired by the ‘flying stones’ that dot the pools of water in Japanese gardens. This particular balance of solidity and lightness also appears in the new special edition made of strips of white Carrara and green Alpi marble with a very manual and sophisticated crafting technique, which requires slow and skilful processes, making it precious. The materials and workmanship are inspired by Italy. Tobi-Ishi thus takes on a new architectural flavour, becoming even more exclusive and refined. In addition to the special edition, the Tobi-Ishi family expands in terms of the sizes and finishes available. In fact, a surprising version of the rectangular table has arrived, measuring 310 cm long and 114 cm wide. A technical challenge that gives rise to an object of majestic design, around which ten diners can comfortably sit. A table of great elegance, thanks also to the use of natural elm wood, a new finish also offered for the round version of the table. A perfect solution to create warmth and intimacy, thanks to the honey color of this wood and its extremely pleasant grain to the touch. The Tobi-Ishi small table range is also enriched with new materials and finishes. The indoor small table is now also available in matt white Carrara marble and glossy Marquinia black marble. These are natural and precious materials, rich in refined veining that emphasize the absolute shapes of Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby’s design.

“The Tobi-Ishi table is a monument. It has become an important piece for the studio over the last 10 years, not least because it marked our first collaboration with B&B Italia. The table’s sculptural nature enables us to interpret the elements in different materials and this has been part of the narrative from the beginning. To mark the 10th anniversary we looked at pre-medieval and medieval buildings in Italy and the incredible use of marble there. The new, celebratory Tobi-Ishi table in marble, utilizes a material and technique that amplifies our deep personal love of both the country’s and B&B Italia’s design heritage.”
