Contemporary living is displayed in Rows: a collection of storage units and tables designed by Patricia Urquiola.Table bases, side panels, and doors included in the collection are formal, geometrical, and minimalist. French writer and painter of the Purism movement, Amédée Ozenfant, delivered inspiration for the curved milling edges, learn forms, and clearcut symmetrical elements. The two rectangular dining tables exhibit a refined artistic concept. Both pieces form a striking contrast between the linearity of the tabletop, which is available in wood, back-painted glass, or marble, and the rigidity of the structure. A column comes to mind while looking at the Vertical table, which was created as a homage to classical architecture. Diagonal, a table whose perpendicular geometry and oblique lines provide extra movement to the structure, shows even more evidence of this sculpture influence.

Designed in 2000, Patricia Urquiola created the Lowland and Lowseat, popular seating systems that captivate lightness. This year, the design was revisited and morphed into the new Mr Loveland and Mr Loveseat. Soft plush seats and backrests define these versatile systems. Mr Loveland’s solid wooden base replaces and previously tubular steel base, meanwhile Mr Loveland features a lightweight tapered leg for an abundantly contemporary style.
