The contemporary reinterpretation of the timeless charm of Windsor chairs was behind the creation of the Newood and Newood light chairs, signed by the creative duo, Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso.
In this new collaboration with Cappellini, the designers have brought attention back to the theme of the chair, and their concrete approach to design has hit the mark: Newood and Newood Light express the perfect balance between fullness and empty space, a harmony between technologically advanced processing and skilled manufacturing, in particular for the distinctive backrest in curved solid wood: this element provides the tactile pleasure of genuine wood, with its reassuring beauty.
Newood chairs are an homage to pure design: this is demonstrated by the fact that they are also the first stackable chairs in the Cappellini catalogue to be made entirely of wood.
Available in ash with a bleached, wengé or black-stained finish, Newood is captivating in the contemporary hues Shanghai blue and cherry red.
