Milan Design Week 2022 contains an abundance of sensory expeditions, Moroso’s newest collaboration hosted at Teatro Dei Filodrammatici is no exception. Together with Front Design, Swedish design group led by Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren, Moroso’s scenic Forest Wandering installation and Pebble Rubble provide soothing neutrals and mindful comfort.
Forest Wandering lures us in with its captivating illusion of nature’s slow and boundless rhythm, solace within frenetic daily routine, slowing down time and cloaking us with a layer of rain, wind, and organic plants. Inspired by Front’s base in Sweden, the cultural and psychological impact of nature is studied and reproduced.

Pebble Rubble’s soft upholstered volume recalls polished rocks, a comfortable and welcoming design, intended for use in corporate and hospitality sectors. It is a fifteen-piece modular system, including seats and backrests, complemented by three footstools. From a single armchair to a panoramic composition, the possibilities are uniquely infinite.

Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren:
“Our new system of furniture for Moroso took its forms from found shapes in nature. As children in our native Sweden, our playground was the forest, and we imagined rocks, moss and fallen trees to be furniture and places for the body to rest and occupy. For this seating group, we 3D scanned rocks we saw on our many forest walks and composed these organic shapes together into furniture pieces.”

The Pebble Rubble is upholstered in the knitted textile Arda, transforming the furniture into a fragment of the wilderness. Pushing the boundaries of technology, Kvadrat Fabrik is a pioneer at creating versatile and visionary knitted textiles embodying the characteristic of function and aesthetic excellence. Founded in 2013, Kvadrat Really, partially owned by Kvadrat, has a commitment to challenging the industry to respond to the urgent global issue of waste by upcycling end-of-life textiles.

Merging the outdoors and indoors, the colours are reminiscent of the wild. A megalithic seat embodies a mysterious slab of stone, taking you on a journey of discovery, experimenting with the therapeutic healing of nature on physical and mental health.
