  • Cristina Croce is an Italian designer, most commonly known for her collaboration on the Gemmy lighting solutions of Slamp. 

    Born in Rome, Cristina Croce graduated in Industrial design from Rome’s ISIA. She founded the 21st Century Design studio with Tommaso Ragnisco in 1995. Amongst her other projects, she began a long collaboration with Slamp that resulted in the creation of the Sun-Ra collection. For years, the studio has designed interactive teaching exhibits for museums and installations, as well as special effects and scenography for films and television. In 2004, 21st Century Design became 21 Lab, continuing its collaboration with Slamp; along with Manuel Wijffels, they designed the Gemmy collection. Cristina has also taught architecture at the Istituto Europeo di Design for years, working in Rome’s Valle Giulia department. In 2016, she founded Cri 21 srls, a company handling, amongst other things, graphic design.
