Privatus Raffia Room Divider Screen

Designed by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto, the Privatus Room Divider Screen is an elegant architectural element created to define distinct areas within open and generously proportioned interiors. Its three-panel form can subtly separate reception and dining spaces, establish a private corner, or sit behind a bed to frame the sleeping area.

Each panel is covered in a tactile handmade fabric composed of 50% raffia and 50% banana leaf, mounted on a supportive backing for stability. The richly textured natural fibres lend warmth and material depth without visually overwhelming the room, while also providing gentle sound-absorbing qualities.

Bronzed-nickel and painted-aluminium profiles give the screen a refined structure, balancing the organic character of the woven surface with Maxalto’s precise contemporary detailing.
