These ceramics by Aldo Londi are the result of an assiduous study, where a constant experimentation of different materials, colors and techniques is faced. Londi channels creative impulses in meticulous stylistic and production research, as in the case of the iconic Rimini Blu series, produced uninterruptedly since 1959. From this moment on, the texture of the surface, represented by different stencil-engraved motifs, will always have the same graphic characteristics. A decoration made up of minute and dense signs that create a frieze, a fantastic circle of abstract geometric elements that chase each other enhanced by quick touches of color that the decorator fixes under the blue and which, after firing, magically reproduce the play of light that are reflected in the sea.
It is no coincidence that the name chosen for this series is "Rimini blu", like the famous resort on the Riviera Romagnola which was highly appreciated by American tourism in the 1950s.

Aldo Londi (Montelupo Fiorentino, 1911-2003) was a tireless teller of feelings and intuitions. An entire life devoted to art: he was painter, sculptor and most of all a ceramicist.
